The Appeal

Many more appeals are successful than you imagine. A properly constructed and presented appeal which draws the attention of the Inspector to detailed National Planning Policy Guidance issued by the Department of the Environment and extracts from the Local Plan can bring you the planning permission you are seeking in a short space of time.

The appeal is to a professional arbiter appointed by the Secretary of State on your behalf. The Inspector is completely independent from the council and will not be from the local area. The Council have made their decision and must now defend it.

When deciding whether you should appeal, you must take into consideration the upgraded value of your plot or property once the appeal has been won. However, time is short: we only have six months from the date of the refusal to present the appeal.

Our fee structure is geared so that we only make a profit if we win the appeal. Part one of the fee is payable when you instruct our Director to proceed.
